Made this for my mom, Lilies of the Valley are her favorite flower. I love them too, though when searching for reference photos I came across the fact that every single part of the plant is poisonous. Mumma what does this say about you??
I kid, I kid! Happy mother’s day to those celebrating it.
As ever the digital reproduction is rather larger than the actual piece! The card is about 4.5 x 3 inches, and the cup and flower are just shy of 2.5 inches tall altogether.
I want to do another set of hetalia folk costume papercraft chibies, even though it looks like I’m not going to have a table for Otakon to sell them at. (sob!) So I’m going to do a set of Mediterraneans! Turkey’s been giving me trouble, though, for some reason it’s very hard to research Turkish folk costumes with the resources available to me. Luckily tumblr user moxieweed is studying in Istanbul and she sent me some reference images!! I couldn’t choose one right off the bat so I sketched almost all of them! *o*
Some of the hats were hard to make out, though I didn’t zoom into the pictures much so I should be able to reference better if I decide on the outfit in question. Poses are subject to change as well.
Which is your favorite?
~Jenny darling you’re my best friend~
I absolutely love these two, SO much fun to have an episode with them (and Strax!) again!
It’s still May the Fourth for like 10 more minutes okay?? Haha I puzzled over what to draw and then I thought I had an idea but when I started to draw it this happened instead. Padme and the twins a la Byzantine iconography.
The lettering is their names in Naboo Futhork.
Hi anon! Good luck if you do! ‘u’ I have some tutorial-ish walkthroughs and in-progress posts that illustrate my method, perhaps those will help? If you need any specific question answered I’ll have to get back to you later, I need to get to work now, whoops! Links: Older three-part walkthrough, two in-progress shots, recent walkthrough
I finally FINALLY sat down and did some papercrafting! Now I can add two more girls to my little collection of lolita fashion chibi: Sailorloli and Muslimloli! I used a greeting card for sailorloli’s skirt and a booklet cover with a plastic “leather” texture for her shoes. I used a lovely striped paper bag for muslimloli’s dress and carefully cut out bits of another greeting card’s design to use for her buttons. Both girls are about 2.25” tall.
Previously in this series:
Himeloli and Classic?loli*Winterloli and Country?loli*Sweetloli and Waloli
Some sketches and scribbles from my last sketchbook. The super shoujo-y girl was only drawn to see if I still could do that style. Everyone here is a character of mine except for Donna Noble, Beyonce, and Ellen Degeneres.
Hi guys! I’ll be away for the next few days, so don’t worry about it getting even quieter here for a little while! I hope to have things worth posting when I get back. Bye!

More Eastern Empire Mama Greece because I was on a kick last night. I have absolutely no headcanon on when she had Greece, whether she actually had him or just like found him or what have you. I do think that once she got into it she found she very much liked the whole mother and child duo thing. Y’see…
The Byzantines had a bit of a thing for iconography of Mary with baby Jesus. If you imagesearch “Byzantine icon Mary” there are very very few that don’t have her with the kid, and even fewer where that’s because he’s an adult in the scene instead. I chose what seems to be a pretty common pose for them, though I do kind of like this one, it’s an interesting design and I nearly used it instead.
The text came from google translate, I’ll admit it.
